A New Frontier

On Saturday I spent three hours at the Seattle Art Museum alone with noise-cancelling headphones, an iPod, and the productions of hundreds of creative people.  It’s truly amazing to me that within every human mind is a new frontier of discovery, that there are, indeed, as many universes as there are human beings, and that somehow, through art, our universes can connect.

In short: this weekend I spent a half-hour gazing into the imagination of nineteenth-century German-born American painter Albert Bierstadt.

It doesn’t get much better than that.
